Our Mission
Horn Free India is a citizen-led initiative to end the culture of excessive honking on Indian roads. Our immediate goal is simple: replace the "Blow Horn" and "Horn Please" signage on millions of commercial vehicles with messages of safety and peace — Stop Horn, No Horn, or Om Shanti.
In 2015, Maharashtra proved this can be done with a single administrative circular. No new law was needed. We are asking State Governments and the national Government of India to take that step.
India gave the world yoga, meditation, and the philosophy of Shanti. Our roads should reflect that identity, not contradict it. Horn Free India brings together citizens, schools, businesses, and policymakers to make this a reality — because peaceful roads start with a simple change in what we write on our trucks.
Horn Free India was founded in 2026 by a family in Lucknow who believed India's roads should reflect India's values.
