From Blow Horn
to Om Shanti
A movement for safer streets, quieter cities, and a more peaceful India.
India gave the world Om Shanti.
But our streets still say Blow Horn
India cannot be both.
Blow Horn or Om Shanti.
We choose Shanti.
The Problem
1,50,000+ road deaths per year
80–120 dB noise levels (legal limit: 55 dB)
Millions of trucks saying "Blow Horn"
More vehicles added every day
The Solution
Replace "Blow Horn" with a message India can be proud of. We propose three alternatives for commercial vehicles:
Stop Horn — A clear, direct safety instruction. Simple to understand, easy to implement.
No Horn — A familiar prohibition that mirrors existing "No Honking" zone signage.
Om Shanti — A culturally resonant message of peace. Transforms trucks into ambassadors of India's spiritual heritage.
In 2015, Maharashtra's Transport Commissioner banned "Horn OK Please" with a single administrative circular. No new law. No legislature. Just one decision. We want the rest of India to follow.
